Welcome to Zimbabwe
Acta Non Verba – Zimbabwe (ANVZ) is a non-profit organization that was created following Kathy and Mark Paukune’s trip to Zimbabwe in 2009 to help with a feeding scheme for AIDS orphans, as well as tour some of Central Baptist Church’s Social Concerns Ministry programs.
Upon returning from this trip, the Paukune’s felt God leading them to a longer-term commitment to the people of Zimbabwe. ”The fact that God allowed us to be used as His voice to these people to say that He sees their needs and has not forgotten them is humbling. When we left, we told our new friends there we were not sure of our next step and just asked for prayer. Our heart is for these people and we continue to seek His guidance on our next step.”

After meeting with Betty Kilpatrick and Stephanie Hamilton (both founding Board Members), and researching potential established organizations that they might support, the group was unable to find any organization responding to both the physical and spiritual poverty of the Zimbabwean people.
Acta Non Verba – Zimbabwe was then created to fill that need. In partnership with HOPE International, one of the leading Christ-centered microfinance institutions in the world and Central Baptist Church in Harare, Zimbabwe, ANVZ is committed to help establish a micro-enterprise development program in Zimbabwe, as well as financially and physically support existing programs developed by the Social Concerns Ministry.
A not for profit 501 (c) (3) organization, ANVZ and its partners are poised to set up a Savings and Credit Association (SCA) program in two outlying communities of Harare. The purpose of the SCA program is to move people living in extreme poverty from a position of receiving handouts, to a life of purpose and productivity.
